The Terra Prime V2 electric motorcycle isn’t trying to be flashy, and it’s not overloaded with smart features you’ll never use or made to look like something out of a sci-fi movie. Instead, it’s a practical, purpose-built e-moto that aims to be just as comfortable handling your morning commute as it is tearing up backcountry trails.
Hand-assembled in Colorado, the V2 is Terra Bikes’ first full production model, and it shows a lot of thought went into making an electric scrambler that feels tough, capable, and refreshingly straightforward.
Built To Ride, Not Just Look Good
At its core is a mid-drive motor connected to a 420 chain and a 60-tooth rear sprocket, which translates into plenty of torque, which is especially useful when climbing hills or navigating rougher terrain. On open roads, the V2 tops out at 65 mph, or even 70 mph in ideal conditions. For those without a motorcycle license, it can be limited to 28 mph for legal street use.
There are two 72V battery options: a 4.2 kWh pack and a bigger 5.1 kWh version. With the latter, you can expect about 70+ miles on the road, or close to four hours of trail riding. Even the smaller battery offers solid range, and both recharge using a regular wall outlet, so no additional charging setup is required. A full charge takes roughly two hours with the base configuration.

Designed To Handle A Beating
The Terra Prime V2 was clearly built with durability in mind. Its steel frame and aluminum battery housing are solid and weather-resistant, rated IP65 against dust and water. This bike is meant to get dirty and keep going.
Suspension travel is generous: 9 inches up front and 8 inches in the rear, which helps smooth out rough trails and potholes alike. Weighing under 200 pounds, the bike strikes a rare balance between sturdiness and agility. It’s light enough to toss around, but to also still feel planted on the road.
Simple Controls, Serious Versatility
The V2 isn’t really trying to reinvent how you ride, but it does give you some great options. There are three core ride modes: a tame setting for neighborhood streets, a moderate one for city commuting, and a high-performance mode for open roads or trails. There’s also an optional off-road mode that unlocks a little extra torque and traction. Lights, indicators, and other street-legal components are powered by a 12V system that runs off the main battery, which keeps things streamlined and reliable.
Why The Terra Prime V2 Stands Out
The Terra Prime V2 is an all-rounder engineered for riders who demand a machine that can live in both worlds. It’s powerful enough for off-road thrills, nimble enough for city streets, yet refined and legal for daily commuting. With its fast charging, robust build, and versatile ride modes, it’s a rare blend: aggressive and adventurous where it counts, efficient and legal where it counts more.
For riders who want a reliable electric motorcycle that doesn’t overcomplicate things — whether you’re commuting, exploring dirt roads, or just looking for something new that still feels familiar — the Terra Prime V2 is worth a serious look. Terra Bikes is currently taking pre-orders for the V2 with expected deliveries starting this summer, with the 3.1 kWh base model starting at $5,995 and the 5.5 kWh extended range model starting at $6,995.
