Pine Gate Renewables and Meta have announced the pair’s fourth project, a renewable purchase agreement for Magnolia Solar. Located near Seguin, Texas, the 210-MW solar project supports Meta’s efforts to continue matching their operations with 100% clean and renewable energy power. Pine Gate’s Magnolia Solar project is on track to become operational in 2026.
Magnolia Solar is a member of the Seguin Chamber of Commerce and recently sponsored five scholarships through the Independent Cattlemen’s Association of Texas. The Magnolia Solar project will support hundreds of construction jobs and is projected to pay over $30 million in local taxes without placing a burden on surrounding resources or infrastructure.
“This partnership drives forward Pine Gate’s mission to generate The Power of Tomorrow, enabled by Meta’s leadership and our commitment to clean and renewable energy project execution,” said Dave Groleau, executive VP at Pine Gate Renewables. “We’re excited to expand the portfolio of projects with Meta to over 500 MW of clean and renewable energy. Along with our other partners, this agreement helps drive more than $750 million of third-party investment into renewable energy infrastructure.”
