ARRAY Technologies, a global solar tracker company, has acquired Affordable Wire Management (AWM), a wiring, cable protection and balance-of-system solutions provider for utility-scale solar and energy storage projects.
“This is an important milestone for ARRAY and another step in our strategy to provide customers with a more comprehensive, integrated portfolio of solutions,” said Kevin G. Hostetler, CEO of ARRAY. “AWM brings innovative products, strong engineering capabilities, a reputation for quality and customer service and an experienced and proven leadership team. Together, we believe we are better positioned to simplify project design and installation, improve system performance and deliver greater value across solar, storage and data center markets.”
ARRAY announced its intent to acquire AWM in July. Now with AWM, the tracker company hopes to expand its base in not only solar and energy storage, but also in the growing data center market. ARRAY stated in a press release that AWM was acquired for $203 million.
AWM manufactures cable management systems for utility-scale solar projects, such as cable hangers, and guiding rails for energy storage.
“We are incredibly excited for AWM’s future as we officially join ARRAY,” said Scott Rand, CEO and co-founder of AWM. “ARRAY’s scale, customer relationships and global reach provide a strong platform to accelerate our growth and bring AWM’s solutions to more customers. Our teams share a culture of innovation and a relentless focus on the customer, and we look forward to the opportunities ahead.”
