Real estate investment trust STAG Industrial recently energized three new rooftop solar projects across Pennsylvania, marking another significant step in the company’s deployment of distributed solar. Developed by Dimension Energy and facilitated by Black Bear Energy these projects further expand STAG’s leadership in implementing onsite and distributed solar across its extensive nationwide portfolio.
STAG now hosts 49.5 MW of onsite solar across 29 properties in 10 states. These Pennsylvania projects (9 MW total) join a three-rooftop, 2.7-MW New Jersey community solar portfolio and three Maryland community solar projects totaling 11.6 MW. The company has also installed in Massachusetts and throughout the Northeast.
“STAG remains committed to deploying distributed solar solutions that drive both economic and environmental benefits,” said Brian LaMont, STAG’s SVP of development and sustainability. “Hosting rooftop solar not only aligns with our broader sustainability strategy but also supports state and regional decarbonization goals, delivering low-cost energy to local communities while advancing Pennsylvania’s clean energy future.”
