B2U Storage Solutions has completed its second energy storage project in Texas that uses repurposed EV batteries. The Bexar Martinez BESS project near San Antonio is now delivering 28 MWh of grid services to ERCOT within CPS Energy service territory.

B2U now operates 50 MWh of repurposed energy storage in Texas. The company also has projects in California. Across both states, B2U is managing more than 5,000 repurposed EV batteries and is operating roughly 100 MWh of energy storage in both solar-paired and stand-alone configurations.

The project supports grid reliability in one of the fastest-growing regions of the ERCOT market, helping meet rising electricity demand with a lower-cost storage solution. B2U expects to deploy an additional 50+ MWh in ERCOT over the next six months.
Demonstrating bankability, the Bexar Martinez project and B2U’s other sites qualify for the domestic content bonus under the ITC, have received third party financing and have been acquired by B2U Infrastructure Partners.
